| Urban Feast Arlington, VA
Description: This small landscape was inspired by the owner’s desire to model sustainable practices in an urban environment. Edible raised garden beds replace the conventional turf patch in the front yard; elegant Sweet Bay Magnolias shade a private bench; native grasses softly filter the site from the street. Pollinators pause to sample the wares in the abundant shrub and herbaceous plants that wind through the garden. A small orchard of native fruit trees provides privacy along one fence line, providing vertical structure to the rear yard.
